Terms of use
Effective 26 September 2026
These terms govern your use of Taba — the website at taba.trade, the application at app.taba.trade, and this documentation. By using any of them you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use Taba.
In short. Taba is a piece of software that talks to trading venues on your behalf. It never holds your money. It is built and run by one person, offered free of charge and without warranty. The venues you trade on have their own terms and their own rules about who they will serve, and those are between you and them. Trading with leverage can lose you more than you put in. This summary is not part of the agreement; the sections below are.
1 · What Taba is
Taba is a client — an interface. It connects to third-party trading venues using credentials you supply, shows you their market data, and sends them the orders you choose to send.
Taba is not an exchange, a broker, a dealer, a bank, a money transmitter, an investment adviser, a fund, or a custodian. It does not match orders, hold client money, quote prices of its own, or take the other side of your trade. Every order you place is executed by the venue you selected, on that venue's book, under that venue's rules, and every position you hold is a position at that venue.
Taba is developed and operated by an individual, not a company. There is no corporate entity behind it, no support organisation, and no guarantee of continuity.
2 · Who may use it
Taba is published on the open internet and is not geographically restricted by us. You may use it only if all of the following are true:
- You are at least 18 years old, and old enough under the law that applies to you to enter this agreement and to trade derivatives.
- You are not a person, and are not acting for a person or entity, subject to financial sanctions administered by the United Nations, the United States, the European Union or the United Kingdom.
- You are not located in, ordinarily resident in, or accessing Taba from a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions — at the time of writing, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
- Your use of Taba, and the trading you do through it, is lawful where you are.
Beyond that list, we do not restrict access by country. We do not block, throttle or police the use of VPNs, proxies or any other means of reaching the site.
Deciding whether you are allowed to trade is your responsibility. Derivatives are regulated differently in every country, and in some they are restricted or prohibited for retail traders. We do not give you legal advice about your own position and cannot tell you whether your trading is permitted where you live.
3 · Your account and keys
Signing in creates an account identified by an email address, a social login, or a wallet. A wallet may be created for you at sign-in; that wallet is yours, and you can export its private key from Settings at any time.
You are responsible for your sign-in credentials and your keys. If you lose access to your sign-in method and have not exported your wallet key, the funds in that wallet may be permanently unrecoverable. There is no password reset that restores a key, and no one can recover it for you.
To place orders without a wallet prompt for every action, Taba uses delegated trading keys where a venue supports them. Such a key can place and cancel orders and nothing else — it cannot withdraw or transfer your funds. These keys, and any venue API credentials you provide, are stored encrypted on the server. You may revoke any of them at any time, from Taba or from the venue.
You accept that keys held on a server carry risk. If the server were compromised, an attacker could place orders using those keys. They could not withdraw your funds, but orders alone can lose money. If that risk is unacceptable to you, do not connect venues that use delegated keys.
4 · Venues are not us
Every venue Taba connects to is an independent third party. When you trade there, you contract with that venue, not with us.
- Their terms apply. Read them. Their rules on eligibility, liquidation, settlement, fees, margin and disputes govern your positions.
- Their verification is theirs. Some venues require identity verification before you can trade, and some will not serve people in certain countries. We neither impose these requirements nor can we grant, waive or appeal them.
- Their failures are theirs. If a venue halts trading, goes offline, changes its rules, mis-prices a market, is hacked, becomes insolvent, freezes your account or refuses your withdrawal, that is a matter between you and that venue. We have no ability to intervene and no liability for it.
- Their data is theirs. Prices, funding rates, order books and balances shown in Taba come from the venues and from third-party data providers. We do not warrant that any of it is accurate, complete or current.
5 · How you may use it
You agree not to:
- use Taba for anything unlawful, including market manipulation, wash trading, money laundering, sanctions evasion, or trading on unlawfully obtained inside information;
- use another person's credentials, or let another person use yours;
- attack, overload, probe or attempt to gain unauthorised access to Taba, its servers, or any venue through it;
- scrape, resell or redistribute market data obtained through Taba in breach of a venue's or data provider's terms;
- reverse-engineer or interfere with the software except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction.
Reasonable rate limits apply to the interface, and circumventing them is a breach of these terms.
6 · Bots and automation
Taba can run automated market-making strategies on your behalf. If you start one, you are the one trading: every order it places is yours, on your account, at your risk.
A strategy holds inventory and can lose money quickly, including in ways that are not obvious in advance. It may stop, stall, disconnect, or behave unexpectedly if a venue, the server or the network fails. We do not guarantee that a bot will run, that it will stop when you ask it to, or that it will be profitable. Monitor anything you start, and size it so that its failure is survivable.
7 · Nothing here is advice
Nothing in Taba — no figure, chart, ranking, tag, insight, signal, heatmap, whale position, liquidation level, calendar entry, or anything written in this documentation — is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation, solicitation or offer to buy or sell anything.
The analytics and "insights" produced by the journal are arithmetic on your own past trades. They describe what happened. They do not predict what will happen and are not a suggestion about what to do next. Decisions are yours alone.
8 · Provided as is
Taba is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
In particular, we do not warrant that: Taba will be available, uninterrupted, timely or error-free; that orders will be transmitted, executed, modified or cancelled successfully; that displayed prices, balances, positions or P&L are accurate; that data will not be lost; or that defects will be corrected.
This is early software, built and maintained by one person. It contains bugs. Some of those bugs can cost money. Use it accordingly.
9 · Limits of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable to you for any trading losses, lost profits, lost opportunity, lost or inaccessible funds or keys, lost data, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, however caused and on any theory of liability, arising out of or in connection with your use of Taba.
This includes, without limitation, losses arising from: software defects; downtime; delayed, failed, duplicated or mis-priced orders; inaccurate market data; liquidation; the act, omission, failure or insolvency of any venue or third-party provider; automated strategies; and the loss or compromise of your credentials or keys.
Taba is offered free of charge. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the total fees you have paid us for the service — which, unless stated otherwise, is nothing — or the minimum amount that applicable law requires.
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of these terms or your unlawful use of Taba.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10 · Ownership
The Taba name, logo, interface and software are ours. These terms grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use Taba for your own trading, and nothing more.
Anything you write in Taba — journal notes, observations, rules, posts — remains yours. By posting publicly in Social you allow us to display that content in the product.
11 · Changes and ending
These terms may change. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date at the top of this page, and continuing to use Taba after a change means accepting it.
Taba may be changed, restricted, suspended or discontinued at any time, in whole or in part, without notice. Your access may be suspended or ended if you breach these terms or if we are required to do so.
You may stop at any time. Because Taba holds no funds, ending your use does not put anything at risk: your positions remain at the venue and your wallet remains yours. Export your wallet key before you go.
12 · Disputes
These terms do not name a governing law or an exclusive forum, and do not require you to bring a claim anywhere in particular. Whatever law applies to you where you are is the law that applies, including any mandatory consumer protection it gives you.
In practice, the thing most disputes would be about is not here. Taba holds no funds and executes nothing: your money and your positions are at a venue, under that venue's own agreement with you, and a complaint about a fill, a liquidation, a frozen account or a withdrawal is one to bring to that venue. What is left on this side is a piece of software offered free and without warranty, which is what sections 8 and 9 are about.
Before anything formal, write to us. Most things worth raising are faster to fix than to argue about.
If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
